This is our journal of what we pray is our sojourn of life (Hebrews 11:8-10) along the narrow way (Matthew 7:14), even the old paths (Jeremiah 6:16), submitting to the Bible as a light unto both (Psalms 119:105). It is our prayer that these documented moments in our earthly time benefit whom God might choose to edify, but ultimately that God glorifies Himself through them.

A House – Update XLII – Kitchen Window Sills, Bathroom Siding & More Bedroom Siding

Just a quick update that the Lord has graciously granted we be able to continue some work on the house!

We added window sills for the kitchen:

And some siding for the bathroom, which is between the kitchen and bedroom. This is the nook side, facing west:

And this is the main bathroom area:

And we have been able to add some more bedroom siding, here on the north wall:

As always, we are very grateful to God for granting the resources and physical strength to be able to continue on the house!

The windows way up high seem like a good idea for keeping cool but I am wondering how you open and close them. Do you have to get a ladder or do you use a special tool or something? Could you show a picture of someone opening or closing a window for me? I know its a lot to ask but I am sure others are wondering as well.
Thank you. Enjoy your new house.

    Hi Debbie

Thank you…we are very thankful for the Lord's provisions.

Since the upper windows are left-right sliding, we are using a walking crutch to open and close them. 🙂 We just put the rubber bottom against the inside sill of the sliding window, and push it the direction we want. Works great if you don't open or close them all the way tight — you can completely close them, but just enough to seal the opening.

I'll try to remember to take a picture of that for the next house blog post. 🙂

    Thanks for saying hello!
